The Foxboro community neighbors a commercial medical waste incineration facility in Utah.  Toxic emissions from burning medical waste fills the air of those residents.

Colorado and other states have no medical waste incinerators.  Waste that cannot be treated by autoclave is transported to the few remaining incineration facilities scattered across the U.S. which are at capacity. One facility in Utah has sickened the community from its toxic emissions prompting a campaign to shut it down.  View the story that features Colorado Medical Waste and it’s sustainable process here.
